Oliver Kaye

Court of Protection
Oliver Kaye is an experienced specialist in Court of Protection Costs, having worked across a wide range of matters and developing a strong understanding of the processes and expectations of the Senior Courts Costs Office. His background spans administration, paralegal work and specialist costs drafting, giving him comprehensive cradle to grave insight into Court of Protection cases. Oliver studied Sociology, Criminology and Law at Leeds Trinity University and previously attended Tadcaster Grammar School, where he strengthened his communication skills through his role as a reading leader. He also holds A Levels in Law, History and Sociology, alongside 11 GCSEs including Maths and English.
Oliver began his career at Irwin Mitchell in both the Leeds and Sheffield offices before moving to A&M Bacon as a Court of Protection Costs Specialist, spending two years drafting detailed bills and advising on SCCO assessments. Since joining MRN on 1 September 2026, he has become a valued member of the Court of Protection Department, known for his meticulous drafting, analytical skill and commitment to achieving fair and justified recovery for protected parties.
His work focuses on preparing detailed bills of costs, providing clear breakdowns of SCCO assessments and offering practical advice on outcomes and potential appeals. Oliver maintains a bespoke approach with each client, tailoring his communication and drafting style to their needs while consistently delivering high quality work within agreed SLAs. His strong recovery rates and ability to provide concise, realistic guidance have contributed to strengthened client relationships and trust in his expertise.
Oliver has spent his entire professional career within the Court of Protection space and remains passionate about ensuring clients recover the costs they are entitled to while safeguarding the protected party’s best interests. Outside of work, he enjoys countryside walks and spending time with his family, with his greatest personal accomplishments being becoming a father and getting engaged.
